We’ve pulled together the most commonly asked questions from retreatants that are coming to Campion Center.
The following information may answer some commonly asked questions. Please do not hesitate to ask Anne Copponi (Monday – Friday 7:00 to 3:00) or your retreat coordinator for additional information or anything else that might make your stay at Campion Center more prayerful and enjoyable.

Campion Center is a “Smoke-Free” building.
You will find an extra blanket and pillow in your bureau.
The box for retreatants’ mail and messages is on the Campion Center Conference & Renewal table – 1st Floor – Main Corridor.
The doors to Campion Center are locked at 7:00 p.m. each evening. The door can be opened by means of the electronic keypad mounted to the left of the entrance. Door codes change regularly and are provided to guests upon arrival.
Mass – open to all guests and visitors – is celebrated daily at 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the Montserrat Chapel on the 1st floor in the central wing off the Rotunda.
Often retreatants like to use their time of retreat to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance. If a Penance Service is not part of your retreat, you may arrange a time for Confession through the Campion Conference & Renewal Center Office or through your retreat director.
Campion Center is the home of over 75 Jesuits. The far side of the Cuniff Dining Room beyond the island is reserved for the Jesuit Community.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available twenty-four hours a day in the Retreatant’s Lounge on the 2nd floor.
There is a Bible in every bedroom. There are a limited number of French, Italian and Spanish Bibles and New Testaments available in the Conference & Renewal Office.
Cell Phones are not to be used in your room or in the corridors. Please be aware of your surroundings. Be considerate and respectful of others and go to a secluded area to use your cell phone. Except in an emergency, please avoid using a cell phone in your bedroom.
Modest First Aid supplies are available in the Campion Conference & Renewal Center Office. More serious needs should be referred to the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Emergency Room (617.243.6000) or the Waltham Urgent Care Center (617.243.5590). Campion Health & Wellness Center (only licensed to provide care for the infirm members of the Jesuit Community) is not allowed to assess, treat or dispense medication of any kind to anyone. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
We would be grateful if you would place your bed linens inside your pillowcase and deposit them in closet 219, 319 or 419 (depending on your floor). Please place your towels and washcloths in the hampers. Please replace your spread and blanket on the bed.
Several chapels, where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved, are available to retreatants and guests.
Please respect the privacy of the Jesuit Community and refrain from using the Montserrat Chapel – 1st Floor – East Wing – off the Rotunda. The exception to this is to attend the 6:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. Mass or Benediction if none is scheduled for your retreat.
