Dr. Hackett is originally from Rhode Island and a 1985 graduate of College of the Holy Cross. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. His family medicine training was completed in 1996 at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA.
After finishing residency, he has been practicing family medicine in Waltham since July 1996. Dr. Hackett has worked for various hospital systems in Waltham, initially Deaconess Waltham Hospital, later Newton Wellesley Hospital and currently Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.
Dr. Hackett has been working at Campion Health Center in various positions since 1996, from staff physician to his current role as Medical Director. Besides his primary care practice in Waltham where he sees family members of all ages, he serves as school physician for both Waltham and Marlborough, as well as team physician for Waltham High School home football games.
He resides in Belmont with his wife, Nora, and dog, Lila. He has one son and two daughters.
